The Langtang Valley Trek is one of the most rewarding trekking adventures in Nepal, combining spectacular Himalayan scenery with authentic cultural experiences in a peaceful and less crowded region. After a drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi, you walk up the valley through Lama Hotel and Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa at 3,870 m. A rest day lets you hike to Kyanjin Ri or Tserko Ri, and then you return the same way. It is a moderate trek with teahouse stays, and most walking days take 6 to 7 hours.
