Dhaulagiri Region Treks

Dhaulagiri is the seventh highest mountain in the world with a height of 8167 m. Dhaulagiri Region Trekking is an off the beaten path adventure in the western Himalayas of Nepal, in the Myagdi district. Dhaulagiri itself means the “white mountains” which is an appropriate name for this giant rock, snow, and ice. It is a challenging trek, as the high altitude and cold make the journey tiring. The route passes through the quiet Myagdi Khola valley, green hillsides, terraced fields, hill villages, glacier landscapes, and high snowy passes, with wide views of the Dhaulagiri range.

The Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek with Thamel Travels and Tours starts at Beni and follows the Myagdi Khola to Italian Base Camp and Dhaulagiri Base Camp. The trail then crosses French Pass at 5,360 m into Hidden Valley, crosses Dhampus Pass at 5,240 m, and ends at Marpha in the Kali Gandaki valley. The best seasons are spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November), when the weather is more stable and the views are clear. The main permit is the Annapurna Conservation Area Project permit at NPR 3,000 per person, and our team arranges it for you. Explore our Dhaulagiri trek package below and plan your Dhaulagiri Circuit adventure with Thamel Travels and Tours.
