Pokhara-Ghandruk Village-Pothana-Pokhara
The Ghandruk village trek is a short and easy cultural trek, which is famous for exploring the lifestyles of Gurung ethnic community. The trekking trail has maximum altitude of 1,982m (6,500ft). From the trail you will see the magnificent views of Macchapuchre (Fishtail), Annapurna south and Hiunchuli (6441m). The trekking trail goes through the river valleys, rhododendron and orchid bushes, making some gentle ascents and descents, and stopping in the villages of friendly locals. |
Day 01: Pokhara - Ghandruk (1982m)
From the beautiful city of Pokhara, We drive for Naya Pul or Phedi by our private vehicle with guide and porters. From here we walk for Dampus. Walking along this ridge gives fantastic views of Annapurnas and Manaslu. Then through Birethati, we walk for Ghandruk village. It’s about 4-5 hours steep hill trail.
Day 02: Ghandruk (Explore the Ghandruk Village)
This is Ghandrung exploration day. Ghandruk is the second largest Gurung village in Annapurna, Siklesh being the largest. Another Gurung village in its surroundings is Gairi Goun. The Gairi Goun village has orderly rows of neat slate- roofed houses with state-of-the-art design of complicated network of terraces. Today you get to know the lifestyles and culture of the local people.
Day 03: Ghandruk - Pothana
Today’s trail has a number of ascents and descents. First the trail descends to Modi Khola and again climbs up to Landruk village. The trail goes through the paddy fields, and Deuralli Village. O/N in Pothana.
Day 04: Pothana - Pokhara
Pothana is situated on the ridge of hill. It offers the spectacular views of Annapurna ranges. Today’s trail goes through along the ridge of the forested hill with the back drop of the mountain views. We pass the Dhampus village then descend to Phedi. From we drive back to Pokhara. |
